Pool Deck Restoration Guadalmina, Managed While You're Away

You do not need to be in Guadalmina to have your stamped concrete pool deck or drive restored. We agree the scope, colour and dates with you remotely, coordinate access with whoever looks after the villa, and send a photo record of every stage until the last coat is on.

How does a remotely managed restoration work in practice?

It runs on photos and written confirmations. You send pictures and an approximate area; we reply with a quote and colour suggestions; once you approve, we fix dates with the person who holds the keys.

  1. Photos and area from you or your caretaker.
  2. Written quote in English, with what is and is not included.
  3. Colour approval from sample photos taken against your surface.
  4. Access plan agreed with your manager or key holder.
  5. Stage photos after washing, repairs, edging and each coat.
  6. Final report with before-and-after images.

Which areas of a Guadalmina villa are usually worth restoring?

The ones you look at and walk on most: the pool deck, the main terrace and the driveway up to the house. These surfaces carry sun, water, cars and furniture, and they lose colour faster than shaded paths.

If the slab underneath is stable, all of them respond well to the same treatment. Our pool deck restoration page explains what happens around the water line and coping.

What will I see in the final photos?

One even colour, sharp edges along walls and steps, and filled cracks that no longer stand out. On our reference villa in Marbella, the faded and cracked stone-pattern drive, the pergola carport and the garage apron finished dark, glossy and uniform.

What should I check before booking from abroad?

Two things: paperwork and timing. Marbella's requirement for this type of exterior work has not been verified by us (to be verified); depending on the zone a declaración responsable or a licence may apply, so ask the Ayuntamiento de Marbella or have your manager do it.

On timing, pick weeks when the villa is empty or between rentals, and if your home belongs to an urbanisation with shared rules, let the administrator know.

How do I start without travelling?

Ask your caretaker to take a few daylight photos, add a rough size, and send them through the contact page or WhatsApp. If the main worry is colour loss rather than damage, read about faded imprinted concrete first.

Frequently asked questions

Can my caretaker in Guadalmina be the contact on site?

Yes. Your caretaker or gardener can handle keys and day-to-day questions if you prefer. We agree arrival times with them, show them which areas are drying and when they can be walked on, and copy you into every photo update so nothing is decided without you.

How do I approve the work if I'm not there?

In writing. You approve the quote and the colour by email or message before we start, and at the end you receive before-and-after photos of each area. If something does not look right in the pictures, tell us while we are still on site.

The villa is let through an agency. Can you work with them?

Of course. Rental agencies usually know the booking calendar best, so we agree free dates with them and make sure the pool deck is dry, according to the product data sheet, before the next guests check in. You remain the person who approves the job and the price.

Is Guadalmina covered from your Marbella office?

Yes. Guadalmina lies on the western side of the Marbella municipality, near San Pedro de Alcántara, and is part of our usual area. Quotes are prepared from photos, so we can price the work before anyone travels. A site visit, if needed, is arranged with your caretaker on a convenient day.

Does my urbanisation need to be told about the work?

If you live in a residential urbanisation with shared rules or controlled entry, it is good practice to inform the administrator or security. Shared surfaces require community approval; on your own plot, you mainly need to respect rules on working times and appearance.

What permits apply in Marbella?

We have not been able to verify Marbella's rules for this specific type of work, so treat the answer as to be verified. A declaración responsable or a licence may be required depending on the area. The Ayuntamiento de Marbella, or your administrator, can confirm before the start date.

What if the weather changes while I'm abroad?

We move the coating day rather than apply colour in unsuitable conditions, since the data sheet sets limits for moisture and temperature. You and your caretaker are informed straight away, and we propose the next suitable date. Washing and repair days are less weather-sensitive, so some work can continue.

Can you also restore the steps and paths around the garden?

Yes, if they are stamped or plain concrete in sound condition. Steps need careful brushwork on the edges, and narrow paths take more time per square metre than open areas, which we reflect in the quote. Tell us which areas you want included.

Do you sell maintenance products for my staff to use afterwards?

No. We do not sell or recommend specific products. For ongoing care, we point you and your staff to the general guidance in the product data sheet, such as which cleaning methods suit the coating, so the finish is not damaged.

What if the deck turns out to need replacing?

Then we tell you plainly and do not quote for a restoration that would not last. Sunken, loose or broken sections need a builder; once they are sorted, we can recolour the surrounding stamped concrete so everything matches. An honest no now saves you paying twice later.
