Pool Deck Restoration Sierra Blanca, Inside the Gate
We restore existing stamped concrete in Sierra Blanca, the gated villa estate at the foot of La Concha, working within the estate's access and security procedures. Driveways, pool decks and terraces are cleaned, repaired and given two new coats of colour, with the original pattern kept.
Send us a photo and the m²How do you get into a gated estate like Sierra Blanca?
Only with your authorisation and on the terms the estate sets. Before the first visit we confirm who is coming, which vehicle and on which days, and you or your manager pass that to the gatehouse in whatever format they require.
Restoration rather than replacement helps here: there are no lorries carrying away broken slabs, just a small team with cleaning equipment, repair materials and paint. That keeps traffic through the gate light and predictable.
What kind of surfaces do large villa plots usually have?
On big plots, the stamped concrete often covers a long approach drive, a turning area, a carport and the pool terrace, sometimes all in one continuous pattern. When it fades, the effect is magnified because the whole entrance looks tired at once.
That is very close to our own Marbella reference job: a stone-pattern stamped driveway leading to a carport under a reed-roofed pergola and a garage apron, faded and cracked before we started.

What happens to the cracks and worn edges?
They are dealt with before any colour goes on. After pressure washing, hairline cracks and small chips are filled, and the borders along walls, posts and steps are cut in by brush so the finish ends crisply.
If cracks keep widening or a section has dropped, the cause is below the surface and painting will not cure it. Our guide to imprinted concrete restoration explains where renovation stops and other work begins.

Can the work be managed while I'm not in Spain?
Yes, and for many Sierra Blanca owners that is the normal situation. We agree everything in writing in English, coordinate keys and access with your house manager, and send dated photos of each stage.
You approve the colour from samples and photos before we start, so there are no surprises on your return. Afterwards, our gallery shows the kind of before-and-after record you can expect.
How do I request a quote?
Send daylight photos of the drive, carport or pool deck, with a rough area, via the contact page or WhatsApp. We look at condition, size and access and reply with a quote; if the pool area is your priority, our pool deck restoration page goes into more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work inside the gated part of Sierra Blanca?
Yes, with your permission and in line with the estate's own rules. We agree the visit dates in advance, give you the names and vehicle details the gatehouse needs, and arrive as booked. If the estate restricts working hours or certain days, we plan around them.
The security team asks for advance notice. How much do you need?
We fit whatever procedure the estate uses. Tell us how the gatehouse wants to be informed, whether by you, your manager or directly by us, and we provide the details early enough for them. Once dates are fixed we stick to them.
Our driveway is very long. Is it treated in sections?
Often, yes. A long approach is cleaned and repaired along its length, then coated in sections so there is always a way in and out for you or your staff where possible. We discuss the order with you so the garage or carport is not cut off when you need it.
Can my house manager supervise instead of me?
Of course. Leaving day-to-day decisions to a manager or caretaker is no problem. We copy them into the photo updates, agree access with them, and keep you informed in English so you can sign off the colour and the final result remotely.
Are there community or estate rules about exterior colours?
Some estates and urbanisations have rules or guidelines for visible exterior finishes. Check with your estate management before choosing a strong or unusual colour; if there are restrictions, we work within the approved palette. Approval in writing from the estate management is always the safest route.
Does Marbella require a permit for this kind of work?
Depending on the municipality and zone, a declaración responsable or a licence may be needed (to be verified for Marbella). We advise confirming with the Ayuntamiento de Marbella before starting and can give you a written description of the job to show them.
Can you match the colour to the villa's stonework?
We choose the tone together, looking at photos of the façade, gate pillars and garden walls. Deep greys, warm earth shades and stone tones are good choices on large villas. Because two full coats cover the whole treated area, the final colour is uniform.
Will the stone pattern still be visible?
Yes. We coat the existing stamped surface, so the imprint stays; it simply reads more clearly once the faded, chalky top is renewed. On our Marbella reference villa the stone pattern came through crisply under the new dark finish. Deep, even colour tends to make the relief of the imprint stand out more, not less.
Can you build a new driveway or extend the existing one?
No. We do not lay new concrete or extend surfaces. Our work is limited to restoring what exists: cleaning, small repairs and colour. For new paving you would need a builder; we can then look at matching colours once it is finished.
Is the pool area treated differently from the drive?
The method is the same, but around a pool we pay extra attention to the coping edge, drainage channels and the product data sheet guidance on wet areas and grip. Pool decks also tend to be closed for drying at a time that suits your use of the pool.
